Organized by MÜSİAD Ankara for the fifth time this year, the Military Radar and Border Security Summit (MRBS) is set to open its doors in Ankara on October 7–8, 2025. The Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the Presidency of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the Summit will bring together leaders, experts, and decision-makers from the Turkish defense industry for two days to discuss global perspectives on new threats to border security.

Vision Speeches and Industry Leaders

The event will begin with opening remarks by Fatih Bilal Yülek, Chairman of MÜSİAD Ankara; Burhan Özdemir, Chairman of MÜSİAD; and other dignitaries. The first day of the Summit will feature key vision speeches that will shed light on the sector’s future. ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci will share his vision regarding Turkey’s defense strategy and the future of domestic technologies, while HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar will present his perspective on innovation, digital transformation, and next-generation solutions. On the second day, ASFAT General Manager Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlbaş and Mehmet Avcı, General Manager of Procurement Services at the Ministry of National Defense, will take the stage.

Radar, Cyber, and Air Defense on the Agenda in Expert Sessions

MRBS offers a rich program featuring thought-provoking panels focused on critical areas of border security. The highlight sessions of the first day will be “Artificial Intelligence in Radar Technologies” and “Cyber Border Security.”

In the first session titled “Artificial Intelligence in Radar Technologies,” session, leading experts in the field—including Ülkü Doyuran from ASELSAN, Dr. Okan Mert Yücedağ from RST, and Cesur Karabacak from Meteksan Defense —will discuss the integration of artificial intelligence into radar systems. In the second session, which focuses on growing threats in the field of cybersecurity, Ahmet Bahadır Bülbül, Head of the SSB Cybersecurity Department; Süleyman Özarslan, Co-Founder of Picus Security; and Salih Talay, Director of Cybersecurity at HAVELSAN, will share their critical insights. Taha Çiftçi, Co-Founder of Secunnix Cyber Technology, will moderate the session.

On the second day of the summit, the “Air Defense Systems Session” will take place. Moderated by (Ret.) Air Force Brigadier General Yusuf Erge, this session will feature Meysun Avcı Özgün from ASELSAN, Barlas Ortaç from ROKETSAN, Zafer Özkan from HAVELSAN, and Dr. Emin Yusuf Avan from TÜBİTAK SAGE will discuss the latest developments in air defense technologies and national systems.

Finally, MRBS will conclude at 5:30 p.m. with a session on the procurement practices of the Ministry of National Defense’s Procurement Services and bilateral meetings. The summit will once again showcase Turkey’s strength in the defense industry and its capabilities in domestic technology.
