HAVELSAN has integrated its national software, specifically developed for autonomous unmanned surface vehicles, into the SANCAR SIDA, which it developed in collaboration with Yonca Teknik.
After successfully completing a firing test on September 9—which was attended by officials from the Presidency of the Defense Industries and the Naval Forces Command—and passing the final acceptance testing, the SANCAR SİDA now incorporates five different national systems and software developed by HAVELSAN.
The most important of these software solutions is ADVENT ROTA, a command, control, and combat management system—the newest member of the ADVENT Combat Management System family used by the Turkish Navy—integrated into autonomous systems.
Another important system is the Ship Data Distribution System, which HAVELSAN developed for surface and underwater platforms in the Turkish Navy’s inventory. The FLEETSTAR Ship Data Distribution System, used for surface platforms, will serve as the heart of the platform not only on ships but also on autonomous unmanned surface vehicles.
HAVELSAN can also manage and control the payload of the autonomous platform using the NAUTIS system. NAUTIS, which can also be used on other platforms, enables the crane control required for deploying and retrieving the sonars on SANCAR.
HAVELSAN’s BLUEVISION product, used for autonomous navigation at sea, is an AI-based image processing module that provides situational awareness for the platform.
HAVELSAN’s global positioning system, HAVELSAN GNSS—which was successfully used for the first time by scientists on a mission to Antarctica on behalf of TÜBİTAK—is also among the national systems to be used in the SANCAR SİDA.
