The cable car network will be expanded in order to eliminate the transportation problems of the people living in the neighborhoods on the southern slopes of Uludağ. Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe said, “Our people will reach the city center, the historical and cultural heritage of the city without any trouble by using the cable car line, and on the other hand, they will reach a beautiful plateau.”

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has started work to solve the transportation problem of the neighborhoods on the southern slopes of Uludağ with the cable car network. Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe, Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Altın and Bursa Transportation Public Transportation Management Tourism Industry and Trade Inc. (BURULAŞ) General Manager Levent Fidansoy examined the project. In a statement to reporters after its investigations, Altepe stated that BursaRay Kültürpark Station Pınarbaşı Kuştepe Yiğitali Cable Car Line, which will give a deep breath to the slope areas of Uludağ in transportation, will be put into service next year. Stating that the preparations are continuing through BURULAŞ and that they will complete the investment that they will start in 2015 in the same year, Altepe said that Kuştepe and Pınarbaşı regions will be connected to Kültürpark and then to Kültürpark Station by the cable car network. Altepe noted that expeditions will be organized from Kuştepe to Alacahirka, Yiğitali and İvazpaşa regions located at the foot of the mountain. Referring to the fact that the arrangement will breathe life into the region where there is a traffic problem due to its narrow roads, Altepe said, “We have produced an important alternative project that will solve the urban traffic and increase mobility, while lowering the normal cable car to the city center via Gökdere and Zafer Park channels. Our biggest goal is to realize this project as soon as possible with our municipality's transportation company BURULAŞ.

CITY CENTER AND SPRAY

Noting that with the said line, not only will the traffic density be reduced, but also the people of Bursa will be able to reach the untouched plateaus of Uludağ with a height of 600-700 meters, Altepe emphasized that they will go to a separate arrangement for the promenade, recreation and sports areas, and they will make these places easily accessible to the public without disturbing their naturalness. .

Noting that the project will breathe life into the city in all respects, Altepe said, “Our people will reach the city center, the historical and cultural heritage of the city without any trouble by using the cable car line, and on the other hand, they will reach a beautiful plateau. They will be able to do their sports and picnics there. They will be able to use this line as if they were taking the bus from the BURULAŞ system. We have accelerated our work on this issue," he said.
