Minister Elvan: We will open the TEM Highway to traffic after May 20. When asked about the road works affecting the TEM, Elvan stated that the necessary repairs, especially on TEM, could not be done for many years, and said, “We started these works. We will complete the first part between Gebze and Körfez until the 20th of the month. Maybe there will be a bottleneck until May 20. We will open it to traffic after May 20, ”he said.
Stating that 24 hours of work was done to complete this work and very special materials were used, Elvan said that all beams should also be overhauled. Minister Elvan stated that it is technically impossible to carry out these repairs without closing the road. Stating that there is not much trouble in the morning and evening hours, Elvan stated that the traffic will be relieved after May 20.
