In a statement shared on Facebook by the US-based Meta group, the Slovakian Police Service reported that two trains collided at a station near Bratislava. Police and emergency teams were dispatched to the scene and according to preliminary information, the trains did not derail.
According to the information received, rail traffic was temporarily stopped in both directions and buses were directed to the scene to ensure the safety of passengers. According to officials, transportation to the area is being maintained in a controlled manner.
Local media, citing Interior Ministry sources, reported that dozens of passengers were slightly injured and 11 people were hospitalized after the accident. Security and rescue operations are ongoing following the incident.
