Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır shared footage on his social media account showing the moments when Turkey’s BOZDOĞAN and GÖKDOĞAN air-to-air missiles—developed using domestic and national capabilities—hit their targets in the air with pinpoint accuracy during test firings. Minister Kacır described these systems, developed by the TÜBİTAK Defense Industry Research and Development Institute (SAGE), as “the two unshakable claws of the Sky Homeland.”
The Missiles’ Superior Technical Specifications
Minister Kacır highlighted the superior technical specifications of both missiles:
BOZDOĞAN: It features superior maneuverability thanks to thrust vector control and precise target tracking capabilities with an advanced infrared seeker.
GÖKDOĞAN: It delivers outstanding performance with an advanced seeker head and control algorithms, ensuring pinpoint accuracy even under demanding conditions.
These successful test firings once again demonstrated Turkey’s determination to strengthen its air defense capabilities with domestically developed and national systems.
