Developed by ASELSAN, a leading organization in the Turkish defense industry, and capable of being integrated into aerial platforms, the new-generation electronic warfare system— the ANTIDOT 2-U 200 Electronic Warfare Pod—has successfully completed its first flight test, demonstrating its capabilities. This critical achievement elevates Turkey’s expertise in the field of airborne electronic warfare (EW) to a new level and paves the way for the platform-independent flexibility required by the modern battlefield.

ANTIDOT 2-U 200: Detection, Analysis, and Decoy Capabilities Combined

Although the ANTIDOT 2-U 200 takes its name from the previous-generation ANTIDOT Electronic Support Pod, it significantly advances its capabilities. The system’s key feature is its integration of both Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capabilities into a single, lightweight pod designed for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This integration enables the platform to perform both passive listening/detection and active jamming/deception against enemy radars during missions.

The most critical capabilities demonstrated during flight testing are as follows:

  • Simultaneous Multi-Target Engagement: Detecting, analyzing, and deceiving multiple enemy radars at the same time.
  • Autonomous Operation: The ability to perform missions completely autonomously.
  • Wide Coverage: Providing a wide frequency and angular coverage area.
  • High Effectiveness: Achieving high performance in neutralizing modern air defense threats with high output power.

The test flights, which were closely monitored and evaluated by a delegation from the Turkish Armed Forces, demonstrated the ANTIDOT 2-U 200’s effectiveness not only in protecting the main UAV but also in creating safe corridors for friendly air assets. This is a vital capability, particularly for operations in areas with dense enemy air defense systems (ADAS).

Platform-Independent Flexibility Through Modular Architecture

Another key advantage of the ANTIDOT 2-U 200 is its modular architecture. This architecture allows the system to be easily integrated not only with large UAVs but also with smaller tactical-class UAVs.

Previously, the Bayraktar TB2 UAV successfully completed a flight test with the ANTIDOT-2U/S pod, manufactured by ASELSAN, which provided only electronic support capabilities. This electronic support pod possessed critical reconnaissance capabilities, such as detecting and identifying signals from enemy radars, as well as determining precise direction and location.

These advanced reconnaissance capabilities of the ANTIDOT-2U/S ensured that all necessary data was instantly transmitted to the ground control station. The new and integrated capabilities of the ANTIDOT 2-U 200 combine this reconnaissance power with an active electronic attack capability, adding a new level of operational depth to the platform. Thanks to its modular design, users can decide before an operation whether to install the pod based on their needs, which maximizes operational flexibility.

While the ANTIDOT 2-U 200 reinforces Turkey’s leadership in next-generation airborne electronic warfare systems, it also has the potential to offer this advanced technology to allied nations. This system is poised to play a groundbreaking role in ensuring the survivability and effectiveness of air operations.
