At the TÜDEMSAŞ Metal Works Manufacturing Plant, the CNC machine was hardened by the induction method.
With the induction, vertical surface hardening machine, which is used in TÜDEMSAŞ Metal Works Manufacturing Plant, the parts we manufacture are brought to the required hardness. Thanks to this machine, the hardening of the parts used in the manufacture of wagons can be done in our company instead of being obtained from the local market. Bench, 50 mm diameter, 5 mm depth up to the desired hardness of parts by the method of induction.
What is surface hardening with induction current?
Alternating current is passed through the coils surrounding the work piece and a high frequency magnetic field is obtained. The resulting high frequency currents move on the surface of the metal. Due to the resistance of the metal against these currents, the surface of the workpiece becomes hot. The electricity is not supplied directly to the component. It is given to the load coil (coil) that surrounds the part. In this way, the electric current occurs on the surface of the part by the induction path and the surface reaches the curing temperature within a few seconds. Thus, it is possible to harden the surface of a metal part by heating the surface without being heated.
