CHP brought the injustice of interviews regarding teacher appointments to the Parliament.
Halıcı, who submitted a parliamentary question to the Presidency of the Parliament to be answered by the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, stated that before the elections, the government promised that the interview practice in public recruitments would be abolished and appointments would be made according to KPSS scores. "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on his social media account on April 11, 2023, 'Public recruitments He said, "We will abolish the interview, except for the obligations of the duty, and we will do it according to the success ranking of our young people in the exams" and announced that the interview will be abolished in the rallies he held during the May 14, 2023 General Elections process.
Recalling the statements of Mahmut Özer, who was the Minister of National Education at the time and is currently the Chairman of the National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Yalım Halıcı said, "The previous Minister also stated that teacher appointments would be made only with KPSS scores and that the only criterion would be KPSS." used.

“For 22 years, even those who came first in public examinations were eliminated in these interviews, allegiance was preferred instead of merit, and incompetent people were unfairly placed in public institutions. Qualified teachers were eliminated in the interviews, and therefore the future of the country was endangered. To manipulate education is to dynamite the future of the country. The greatest harm is being done to the children of this country by eliminating qualified educators, seeking support and partisanship. This wrong and erroneous interview decision should be reversed. "The future of our children and the future of Turkey should not be played with."
