The NE-RASAT Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), developed by Sekiz Altmış Teknoloji —a company operating in the field of Turkish defense technologies—has successfully completed its test flight. Announced via the company’s official X (Twitter) account with the post “NE-RASAT is in the skies!”, this development marks another milestone in the progress of domestically produced UAV systems.

Ensar Çalışkan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sekiz Altmış Teknoloji, highlighted the success of the NE-PUSAT Kamikaze UAV—another member of the same platform family—and noted that with a 6.5 kg explosive payload capacity and a 120 km mission range, they have achieved a first in Turkey’s electric sub-cloud UAV category.

NE UAV Family: Diverse Missions on a Common Platform

The NE UAV Family, which includes the NE-RASAT, was modularly designed to meet various operational needs through a common platform. These fully electric UAVs have a fuselage length of 152 cm, a wingspan of 215 cm, and a maximum takeoff weight of 17 kilograms. This common platform, which can be equipped with different subsystems according to customer requirements, offers flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

NE-RASAT: Uninterrupted Day and Night Surveillance

NE-RASAT, the family member optimized for reconnaissance and surveillance missions, possesses capabilities vital to the battlefield:

Imaging: Thanks to electro-optical and thermal imaging systems, it provides effective image acquisition and real-time data transmission under both day and night conditions.

Performance: It has an airborne endurance of 70 minutes, a range of 120 km, and can reach speeds of up to 125 km/h.

Operational Advantage: The system, which can be controlled manually or automatically, provides critical situational awareness in low-intensity conflict environments thanks to its silent operation.

NE-PUSAT: Strike Kamikaze Capability

The NE-PUSAT kamikaze UAV, the strike force of the NE family, was developed for the direct destruction of detected targets. With a range of 120 km, this kamikaze UAV:

High Strike Power: Has a payload capacity of 6.5 kg of explosives.

Launch: It can be launched from a vehicle or a catapult.

Precision: Thanks to its autonomous mission planning infrastructure, GPS-aided navigation, and precise targeting algorithms, it can complete its mission with a high hit rate.

The operational flexibility provided by the common platform, combined with domestic engineering capabilities, makes the NE UAV Family a key solution capable of providing strategic contributions to the Turkish defense industry in areas such as border security and counterterrorism.
