After the first additional bridge built by the Metropolitan Municipality at the Abide junction to reduce the traffic load in Şanlıurfa, the second bridge was completed and put into the service of the drivers in a controlled manner. Drivers coming from Gaziantep will use the bridge to transit to Diyarbakır road. Mayor Beyazgül said that change will continue in the city.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality carried out the controlled opening of the İpekyol Viaduct at the bridge junction, which is located at the heart of the city and completed at Abide Junction, where hundreds of thousands of vehicles pass every day.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, which produces deep-rooted and permanent solutions to the transportation problem in Şanlıurfa, opened the Karaköprü Viaduct of Abide Junction, which will relieve urban traffic, to vehicle traffic 26 days before the required time to be completed.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly Ahmet Kaytan and AK Party Şanlıurfa Group Deputy Chairman Faruk Bayuk opened the viaduct to vehicle passage by providing a vehicle passage over the bridge.
Abide Junction, which connects Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard, İpekyol Boulevard, Necmettin Cevheri Boulevard, Atatürk Boulevard and 18 Mart Çanakkale Street, and which is the lifeblood of Şanlıurfa city traffic, will give the city center a sigh of relief.
A part of the additional bridge, which will significantly relieve the urban traffic flow at Abide Junction, which is one of the important transit routes of the Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, which brings together the citizens with comfortable ways in transportation, was completed much earlier than the required time and opened to vehicle traffic.

Post-tensioning is a junction. Our first bridge to be opened is 230 meters. It is 545 meters long in total. 18 March We completed the bridge connecting Çanakkale Street to Diyarbakır Highway 55 days ago, and the bridge connecting İpekyol Street to Diyarbakır road 26 days ago. Thank God. When we put a countdown device at the Abide junction entrance, the day was counted as days. Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül explained that there has been a change in the city with many different projects and that these changes will continue, and said, “The tender for Fisheries Boulevard will be held on 1 December. There will be a tender for 5 months by our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. In the work to be done in between, a counter system will be placed. Let our fellow citizens of Şanlıurfa see when the trouble will end. A period of 150 days has been set in the tender and the work on Balıkayagi Boulevard is opened 30 days ago. There will be a bridge work that can be opened in 120 days. I hope Fishfoot Boulevard will open 30 days ago. When we open Balikayagi Boulevard, the vehicles going from here will pass there quickly. The traffic started from here 26 days ago and that was very important. Abide Junction is a place in the heart of Şanlıurfa. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the opening of Abide Köprülü Junction viaduct. I hope our President will make this opening. Inshallah, our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also inaugurate many of the works we have done. Şanlıurfa has changed a lot. Citizens passing through Abide Junction İpekyol Viaduct with their vehicles expressed their satisfaction with the premature opening of the second viaduct and thanked Mayor Beyazgül for producing permanent solutions to Şanlıurfa's traffic problem.
