Famous Ski Resorts of Serbia

Serbia, where there are more than 20 ski resorts, is a candidate to be the new favorite of winter holidays. Located in the center of the Balkan Peninsula, the country is also very suitable for snowfall due to its advantageous geopolitical position; From December to April there is no shortage of snow. That being the case, all ski resorts in Serbia bring a new breath to the snow holiday by hosting ski enthusiasts all winter long.

The country, which is very inviting with its stunning scenery and high peaks, also hosts world-class ski resorts. Among these centers, it is possible to list the most popular ones as follows:

Kopaonik

Kopaonik, located in the south of Serbia, is the country's most famous ski resort with 55 kilometers of wide slopes and 21 chairlifts. In addition to appealing to people of all ages and levels, the center, which also has a special area reserved for children, has a height of between 56 and 2 meters. If you're a beginner at skiing, be mindful of steep slopes and icing and seek help from an instructor if possible. You can buy half-day, daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal ski passes in Kopaonik. The nightlife in the center, which draws attention with its colorful bars, is as enjoyable as skiing. After an adrenaline-filled day, you can unwind at these tourist attractions and spend the night in one of the many hotels in Kopaonik and spread your holiday over several days.

zlatibor

Zlatibor, the habitat of rare pine species, is a region famous for its clean air, lush green meadows, rich ecosystem and pure water resources. Zlatibor, which is one of the most favorite places to visit by tourists coming to Serbia, is warm and cool in summers, while winters are not so freezing cold. On the other hand, Tornik and Stara Planina ski resorts on Mount Zlatibor have managed to take their place among the most famous resorts of the country. The ski center, which is 9 kilometers away from the city center, has the capacity to host 5400 skiers per hour. You should definitely see the ski resort, which is 1490 meters above sea level.

Tara National Park

Established in 1981, the Tara National Park is part of the Zvijezda Mountain and is referred to as the “lungs of Serbia”. The region, which is famous for its forested areas, wild animal diversity and rivers, is a very suitable region for winter sports as well as nature sports such as river rafting and canoeing. Tara National Park, which is the first location that comes to mind when it comes to adrenaline sports, and is located in one of the curves of the Drina River, is among the indispensables of skiers. Despite being smaller than other ski resorts in the country, the center, which does not compromise on standards, also stands out with the opportunity to ski at night.

Crni Vrh – Bor / Divcibare

We will now talk about a track covered with artificial snow inside Divcibare Ski Center: Crni Vrh Ski Track. The track, whose length is 850 meters and the height difference between the upper and lower parts is 180 meters, appeals mostly to skiers who have proven their age in skiing, as it has medium difficulty and high grade tracks in the red category reserved for professionals in Crni Vrh. In addition to skiing, it is also possible to participate in activities such as adventure track, walking tours, bicycle tours and offroad jeep driving in the center. Divcibare, which is one of the important places on the map of the International Ski Federation, provides great convenience to the visitors with its accommodation facilities.

Good Waters

Goc is the main ski resort in Dobre Vode. The ski center, which has two separate areas for beginners and children, also has a cable car. This cable car takes you from one part of the resort to the other. Also, let me point out: There are also slopes for more advanced skiers. Dobre Vode is among the popular ski resorts of Serbia with its height of 330 meters and 3 chairlifts. Apart from the ski resort, there are also great spa facilities here. It is also useful to see these facilities. Located 1,1 km from the village centre, Goc is an ideal ski resort for ski enthusiasts.
