Aşık Veysel Barrier-Free Life Center, which was put into service by Çankaya Municipality last year, celebrated its 1st year with disabled individuals and their families. In the celebration program where the artist Serenad Bağcan gave a mini concert, the participants also accompanied Bağcan's songs.

Aşık Veysel Disabled Life Center, which Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen included in the election manifesto in the 2019 local elections and opened last year, celebrated its 1st anniversary with disabled individuals and their families who benefited from the center. Artist Serenad Bağcan also shared the excitement of the disabled in the celebration program. The members of the Center and their families, accompanying the songs sang by Bağcan, celebrated the first year together.

Social, cultural and artistic activities are carried out free of charge at the Aşık Veysel Barrier-Free Life Center, which contributes to the development of the skills needed by individuals in need of special education, through group and individual lessons. There are candle-soap, drama, chess, painting, ceramics, computer, kitchen, sports, music, parent and dance workshops in the center. Special Education classes, Sensory Integration, Occupational Therapy, Psycho-Social Counseling, Audio Library, Health and Legal Counseling services are provided in the Center, which provides physical disability, vision, hearing, specific learning difficulties, autism, chronic diseases, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and mental health problems. services are provided to citizens of all ages who need special education, especially individuals with emotional disorders.

While primarily serving the people of Çankaya, the Center also provides support to requests from other districts.

The center also cooperates with the university, non-governmental organizations and other institutions, hosting the development of professional practice skills of university students in social work expertise and occupational therapy department. In addition to trainings, various excursions, cultural and social activities are organized at the Center, and aids such as white canes and wheelchairs are also provided.
