The training center, which operates to provide specialist training to workers in the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) field, gave its first graduates. Akkuyu NGS employees completed the professional pre-training course and received their first certificates in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.

TSM Energy's first group of graduates, consisting of 14 employees, completed the training course in the field of specialization “Slinger” and received their state-issued certificates recognized in Turkey, Russia and European Union countries. Akkuyu NGS Training Center can cooperate directly with Mersin Provincial Directorate of National Education in accordance with the cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey. Thanks to this collaboration, courses were held at training centers for 3 job specialties: welder (11 types of welding), process equipment installer, steel and reinforced concrete structures installer, nuclear power plant equipment installer, thermistor, slinger, formwork installer, fitter and concrete worker. Pre-training, additional training or retraining without interrupting production allows for optimizing new staff selection and hiring procedures, as well as facilitating interaction with other training centers in the Republic of Turkey.

NGS First Deputy General Manager and Construction Director Sergey Butckikh said the following about the center's first certificated graduates: “First of all, highly qualified employees who are professional and can speak Turkish are invited to the training so that they can communicate effectively with their colleagues in the field. Training groups are formed upon the request of the heads of the construction department for the training of the working personnel. A new group of 40 people has already been formed. This group will be trained as 'Scaffolding Erection Workers' in accordance with the requirements of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Labor to work at height.”

A cooperation protocol was signed between Akkuyu Nuclear A.Ş., main contractor Titan2 İçtaş İnşaat A.Ş., TR Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and TR Ministry of National Education in the field of training and certification of experts to be involved in the construction of Akkuyu NPP. In accordance with this protocol, employees of the power plant, which is under construction, receive training in various fields at the Worker Training Center at the Akkuyu NPP site and are entitled to receive state-issued certificates.

The Training Center plans to provide training to approximately 2022 employees by the end of 200.
