China Ministry of Foreign Affairs SözcüSU Zhao Lijian announced that since the China-Africa Cooperation Forum was established in 2000, Chinese companies have built more than 10 kilometers of railways, 100 kilometers of highways, nearly a thousand bridges, nearly a hundred ports, and many hospitals and schools in Africa.
The New Wami Bridge, built by the Chinese company in Tanzania, has recently opened to traffic.
Zhao Lijian stated at his daily press conference that the New Wami Bridge, as an important strategic project of Tanzania, will accelerate the coordinated development of various regions of the country and strengthen economic growth.
Pointing out that the new Wami Bridge project is a new fruit of deepening mutual benefit and mutual gain between China and Tanzania, Zhao noted that since the start of the bridge's construction, more than 500 new jobs have been created in Tanzania and a large number of skilled workers have been trained in the construction of infrastructure facilities.
Zhao emphasized that China is ready to bring happiness and benefit to the peoples of the two sides, and to support the establishment of the Sino-African destiny partnership in the new era, by continuing concrete cooperation with Africa covering all fields.
