In the presidential election, voters who wanted to vote where they were registered preferred the High Speed Train (YHT).
Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Eskişehir Station Manager Süleyman Hilmi Özer said that the current density of YHTs has increased due to the presidential election.
Stating that the occupancy rate of YHTs has reached 100 percent, Özer said:
“22 YHTs work between Eskişehir and Ankara, but we are still full. We have many passengers coming and going for choice. There were also people looking for me to find a place. There are those who come after voting in Eskişehir and Ankara, we have such passenger flows. There is a constant occupancy. In order to find a place in YHT, you need to get a ticket in advance and not stay at the last moment. "
Serpil Gamsızoğlu, on the other hand, told that she went to Ankara with YHT to vote in the morning and said, “I went to Ankara to vote, now I came again. We used our vote and came. We had to vote for democracy. Participation rate must be high. I live in Ankara, and my family is in Eskişehir, thanks to YHT, I went back and forth ”.
Adnan Kuvvettaş, one of the passengers, also voted in Ankara for the presidential election and said that he came to Eskişehir with YHT. “I am coming from Ankara by using our vote. Good luck to our country, our nation, ”he said.
