Ankara-Konya High Speed Train project was completed in 2011 and put into service. In Konya devam Istanbul High Speed Train Project, work continues in a few stages. The construction of the line between Eskişehir and İstanbul is planned to be completed in 15.12.2013. The average rate of physical realization in the Eskişehir-İstanbul line is 50. Upon completion of this line, the Konya-Eskişehir-Istanbul route will be opened for transportation.
In addition, efforts should be made to ensure the completion of the Konya-Istanbul High Speed Train Project in 2013. Since Ankara-Konya high-speed railway line is still connected with the Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train line after Polatlı, the immediate completion of the project is of great importance in order to start uninterrupted high-speed train services between Konya and Istanbul.
Konya-Antalya High-speed train works should be started: Ankara-Konya high-speed train line will be more feasible if supported by Konya-Manavgat-Antalya line.
