Addictive bad
Expressing that foreign dependence in energy is an extremely bad situation, IU Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Ocak said: “Currently, we produce 80 percent of the energy we consume from natural gas. The majority of this is taken from outside. However, important mineral resources can be used in energy production in our country. Rail systems are important in terms of energy, economical, environmental, time loss, noise pollution and passenger safety. Until 2004, around 44 kilometers of rail systems were added to the metro line in Istanbul, and after 2004, around 31 kilometers of new rail system lines were built. A total of one million people are transported daily by rail systems in Istanbul. This number is low by world standards.
