Turkish Defense and Aviation Exports Exceeded 3 Billion Dollars

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Turkish defense and aerospace sector, which exported 2022 million 166 thousand dollars in September 233, exported 2022 million 464 thousand dollars in October 527. Exporting a total of 2021 billion 1 million 680 thousand dollars in the first ten months of 747, the sector exported 2022 billion 3 million 267 thousand dollars in the first ten months of 257. Thus, the Turkish defense and aerospace sector exported 2021 percent more than in the first ten months of 36,4.

The Turkish defense and aviation sector, which exported 2021 million 301 thousand dollars in October 391, increased by 54,1% and exported 464 million 527 thousand dollars. In the October 2022 “Sectoral Export Figures by Country” file included in the data published by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the number of exports of the Defense and Aviation Industry to countries was not shared.

• 2022 million 464 thousand dollars in October 527,

In total, 3 billion 267 million 257 thousand dollars were exported.

Target in defense and aerospace exports: 4 billion dollars

In his speech at the commissioning ceremony of the Test and Training Ship TCG Ufuk, President Erdoğan said, “The events that have taken place around us, especially in the last 10 years, have shown us once again that it is not possible for nations that cannot be independent in the defense industry to look to the future with confidence. Thank God, today we design, develop, manufacture and use the systems we need in a wide range from unmanned air-land-sea vehicles to helicopters, from weapons and ammunition to missiles, from air defense systems to electronic warfare. The number of countries using Turkish defense industry products is increasing every year. We expect our defense and aerospace exports to exceed 4 billion dollars by the end of this year.” made statements.

At SAHA EXPO 2022, held at the Istanbul Expo Center, Baykar Technology General Manager Haluk Bayraktar announced that an export contract was signed with a 5th country for AKINCI TİHA. Answering the questions of Reuters at the SAHA Expo Fair, Bayraktar stated that the AKINCI TİHA systems, which were first delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2021, received orders from five countries.

Baykar Teknoloji has signed contracts with 5 countries so far for the export of Akıncı Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. While the names of the exported countries and how many systems they bought are not disclosed, thanks to these exports, ammunition such as KGK, HGK and LGK can be sold to countries as well as the MAM family. Baykar completed the export of 2021 million dollars S/UAV system in 664, generating more than 80% of its revenues from exports.
