The STM-500 mini submarine, designed and developed by STM, will be exhibited at the IDEAS 2022 defense fair to be held in Pakistan. Pakistan is currently looking to procure mini-submarines for its navy under the Shallow Water Assault Submarine (SWAS) project. The STM-500 mini submarine, which will be exhibited at the fair, is also expected to participate in this project. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to supply 3 mini submarines.

The submarine, which can reach a maximum speed of 18 knots, has an economic speed of 5 knots. The submarine, which is capable of firing 4 heavy torpedoes and guided missiles in total with 8 ready-to-fire torpedo tubes, also has the ability to cast mines. It can carry a 18-person special forces team as well as a crew of 6.
