Samsun Metropolitan Municipality has started work to clean the weeds that will endanger the travel safety of the trams. In the study carried out by the teams of the Department of Parks and Gardens, the growing tree branches were cut and the growing grass was cleaned.
Trams, which are of great importance in urban public transportation, take the first place in the safe transportation comfort of passengers. The light rail system operated by SAMULAŞ serves an average of 100 thousand people a day between Tekkeköy and OMU Dormitories. The Department of Parks and Gardens, which carries out periodic cleaning work on the route for the travel safety of the trams, which provide healthy and regular public transportation services to the citizens with its superior technological infrastructure, cut the tree branches that endanger the line this time.
Within the scope of the work started, the teams pruned the trees in the Baruthane location between Fener-Education Faculty by climbing the stairs with elevator at midnight, and cleared the grass that narrowed the viewpoint of the trainees. After the work here is completed, the teams will then check the green areas between the stations and clear the weeds, increasing the safety of the route.
