RS3 Hiscores – How Do They Work?

How RS Hiscores Work

RuneScape HiScores has been released for a very long time, but some players are still confused. What does HiScores actually do?

RuneScape 3 has been one of the well-known MMORPGs for the past ten years. Despite being the less played RS game, the third iteration of the game still has a decent following and a consistently loyal fan base. In RS3, players can strengthen their characters, upgrade their skills, or RuneScape gold There are a lot of things they can do, such as upbringing. All these activities are tracked and tabulated into RuneScape HiScores, which some players, even the experience, may not be familiar with.

What is RS3 HiScore?

HiScores is a website developed specifically for RuneScape that collects data from the game and analyzes the information to rank players by experience points in their skills. The website updates itself every time players exit or leave the lobby, which allows it to keep track of everything. Unfortunately, HiScores does not save any player data if players have automatically logged out of the game for reasons such as system updates or maintenance. However, the amount of RS3 gold players have is not included in the website's leaderboard.

The site uses a free Application Programming Interface (API) that allows it to track players, the clans they belong to and the activities they perform per season. Although both Ironman Mode and Hardcore Ironmen have several charts separate from the regular one, they continue to appear on the regular HiScore charts.

What is HiScores for?

Besides bragging rights and being recognized as some of the best players in the game, Jagex also offers some clean aesthetic rewards for those who can earn Seasonal HiScores. There are three rewards players can receive for being at the top of the leaderboard. The first is the Crown of Supremacy, which is a cosmetic override, the second is the Clap Round emote, and the third is titles.

The Crown of Supremacy is a cosmetic override that can only be worn by the best players as long as they hold the top position. After these players lose their places, the cosmetic is replaced with a Crown of Legends override, which is a simpler version of Supremacy as it loses the green glow. Since these are cosmetic overrides, they cannot be tangibly equipped.

The second prize is non-persistent expressions of applause. Players who earn Seasonal HiScores can use the emote feature only as long as a new entrant won't win the current or next seasonal event. Emotional has three NPCs cheering, applauding and worshiping the winner. This emote will not appear in emote tabs to other people, as only seasonal winners can use them.

The final reward is titles. Depending on what the event is, players will receive titles that correspond to or represent that event. Those who are in the Top 100 will receive a gray version of the award, while winners will receive a gold version of the titles. The number one player for each season will also win the title The Supreme.

How are Clans Ranked?

Clans are also registered by the HiScores website, although there is no reward for being the best guilds on the leaderboard, it still gives players enough prestige and recognition to try to climb the ranks. The factors that determine leaderboard rankings are:

  • Total skill levels of clan members
  • Total level of clan members
  • Total war level of all clan members
  • The total amount of XP earned by all clan members after entering the guild
  • The total amount of XP earned by clan members for each skill after entering the guild
  • Total amount of players killed in the wild since joining the guild
  • Total number of deaths after clan members became guild members
  • Total number of players in the clan
  • Total number of Rating Clan Wars points
  • Clan's kill/death rate

Seasonal HiScores

Seasonal events also appeared in RuneScape 3. These events are time limited and will have different objectives such as boss kills, collecting and coin donations. Current Seasonal Highscores are visible in the community tab, while previous HiScores can be viewed on the RS website.

Being the top players and clans in RuneScape is reason enough to try climbing the game's leaderboard. Being included in the HiScores graphics is an achievement that not all players can achieve, so RS gold and To Runescape items Investing in skills is a very valuable undertaking. Take down the best players and become the best of the best in RuneScape 3.
