Marek Herbst, Senior Vice President of Škoda Group, said: “We are working on the revision of the car bodies of the trams with type designation T2020 for Liberec between 2022 and 3. Thanks to the overhaul, I believe the trams will serve Liberec residents and visitors reliably for many years to come. will come,” he said.

Trams go through various repair processes in this process. One of the most important of these is the repair of vehicle skeletons affected by corrosion. This requires removal of the exterior cladding, windows, door systems and interior elements. After a thorough inspection and a series of measurements, the experts will replace all damaged parts and reassemble the vehicle. Finally, the trams will be given a new paint job.

15 more years on the job

Swedish operator Västtrafik AB has ordered from the Group the overhaul and repair of the M1,84 trams with a total value of CZK 31 billion. Work will take place at Martin until 2027.
