İBB Game Development Center Launches 'Child Incubation Program'

The Game Development Center (OGEM), implemented by IMM subsidiary Medya AŞ for young entrepreneurs, started the 'Child Incubation Program'. Within the scope of the project, which offers young entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their dream game, primary school children will receive training on game development processes.

A new program is starting at OGEM, which was implemented with the support of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and its subsidiary Medya AŞ. The 'Child Incubation Program' is being implemented for generations who can find out individuals who learn by researching and develop themselves by experiencing, and who can create new job opportunities by using their imagination. In the Incubation Program, primary school children studying in public schools will visit OGEM. During the visit, children will be given basic entrepreneurship education accompanied by games. After the idea generation training, they will be involved in the game development processes with online lessons that last for a month.

GAME IDEAS WILL BE TALKED

The Child Incubation Program, which covers primary school students from different regions of Istanbul, starts with a trip to Miniatürk, which is planned with the participation of 40 students. After the tour, "Entrepreneurship Awareness Training" is given, which is specially prepared for children and combined with games. The program, which is organized every two weeks and prepared by expert trainers according to the interest of the age group, includes face-to-face training and meeting activities. After the face-to-face training, children continue their education online for one more month. At the end of the program, all children who receive education come together again at the event to be held at OGEM and present the ideas they have developed throughout the program.

Media AŞ General Manager Pınar Türker said that they aim to raise awareness about the program, especially among primary school children, on entrepreneurship and game development, and said, “We plan to hold this program, which started at OGEM, twice a month. Thanks to this program, children experience a new world and discover how to produce together while having fun with games, thanks to the interactive program we have prepared by working with competent trainers.”
