Regional trains were put into service between Gaziantep and Nizip to be operated in integration with Gaziray, which was opened by TCDD Transportation on November 5, 2022 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.
Regional trains will make a total of 49 trips between Gaziantep and Nizip with a distance of 2 kilometers, 4 reciprocal per day. The first flight from Gaziantep to Nizip is at 06.30 and the last one is at 18.41; The first flight from Nizip to Gaziantep will be at 07.10 and the last one at 18.00.
9 DE 560 regional trains to be operated between Gaziantep and Nizip; It was produced by TÜVASAŞ between 1993-1997 and has a speed of 140 kilometers per hour and a capacity of 64 people.
More people will have a comfortable, economical and convenient transportation opportunity with the regional trains, which will serve in integration with Gaziray, which will give a breath of fresh air to the urban traffic by connecting the Gaziantep city center and the two industrial zones.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that Gaziray is free for the New Year. However, the regional passenger train that will run between Gaziantep and Nizip has been excluded from this scope. Accordingly, the price schedule for the regional passenger train Gaziantep-Nizip was determined as follows. Civilian citizens 22 TL, 06 years old free, 7-12: 50 percent discount, 13-26 years old 15 percent discount, 26-60 years old full price, 60 years old 15 percent discount, over 65 50 percent discount, disabled Citizens, if they have a disabled companion card, free of charge, veterans and martyrs' relatives free of charge.
The regional passenger train, which will operate twice a day at the first stage, will increase the number of trips according to the demands that will come in time.
