Cooperation Between Emirates and Air Canada

Emirates and Air Canada announced the start of a codeshare collaboration. The new partnership will enable both airlines' customers to seamlessly connect to 46 markets across three continents, including destinations in the Americas, Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and the Indian subcontinent.

Starting today, codeshare tickets will be available in a total of 1 markets for flights from December 35. After completion of the regulatory approval process, 11 more markets will be added and the range of existing markets may be further expanded in the future. Tickets are available through the carriers' websites emirates.com and aircanada.com, as well as major GDS systems and travel agents.

Partnering with Canada's flag carrier allows us to offer our customers seamless connections on domestic flights via Toronto. In addition to the additional benefits and enriching experiences that passengers of both airlines can enjoy, the partnership enables Air Canada customers to travel to destinations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East through an extensive network through our hub in Dubai.”

“The new partnership with Emirates allows us to significantly expand flight options for our customers. Mutual cooperation will create easier links between Canada and destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. “It will also allow us to operate more connecting flights through our global hub in Toronto and expand our presence in these dynamic regions where global travel demand is expected to increase,” said Air Canada President and CEO Michael Rousseau.

Emirates customers will be able to book codeshare flights to Canadian cities including Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver.

Air Canada will place its code on routes that Emirates operates from its hub in Dubai, expanding the airline's footprint in the Indian subcontinent and opening up additional destinations such as Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore.

Air Canada customers traveling to destinations in Southeast Asia, including Bangkok, Hanoi, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, the Middle Eastern cities of Jeddah and Muscat, as well as destinations in Africa, i.e. Addis Ababa, can enjoy seamless connections and Dar. can take it out. Es Salaam.

These airlines will soon offer a mutual loyalty offer that will allow Aeroplan and Skywards members to earn and redeem points on flights operated by Emirates and Air Canada. Skywards members will also soon be able to enjoy mutual access to airport lounges and certain benefits for members of the Aeroplan Elite and Skywards loyalty programs when traveling with a partner airline.
