Prices were increased on the Ada Express Train, which runs between Gebze and Adapazarı. In general, 5 TL hike was made, some of the trips from Izmit Train Station were increased by 3 TL and some by 4 TL.
While there have been hikes in the prices of many products and services due to inflation recently, the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) has also decided to increase the tickets of suburban trains. After the hike, new ticket prices have also been announced.
While it is seen that there is an average increase of 5 TL in suburban train services, it has been learned that no increase has been made for YHT services for now. Considering the increase in ticket prices of suburban train services, a passenger who wants to go from Izmit to Adapazarı has to pay 38 TL, while a passenger who wants to go from Izmit to Gebze has to pay 34 TL. Before the hike, these prices were applied as 33 TL for Adapazarı and 29 TL for Gebze.
According to the new tariff, which has been updated for the 5th time since the New Year, the Adapazarı-Gebze journey, which was 47 TL, is now 55 TL. The full ticket price to go from Adapazarı to Derince increased from 40 lira to 46 lira.
