Work Continues at Başören Tekke Kavaklı Dam

State Hydraulic Works (DSI) General Manager Lütfi Akca announced that with the completion of Başören Tekke Kavaklı Dam in Şuhut, 2 thousand 360 decares of agricultural land will be irrigated and this dam will contribute 3 million 540 thousand TL annually to the country's economy.

Explaining that the works are continuing at Başören Tekke Kavaklı Dam in the Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar, Akca said, “With the completion of the dam, we will irrigate 2 thousand 360 decares of agricultural land. In addition, 1.6 hectometers of upstream quality drinking and utility water will be provided annually to our Başören, Tekke and Kavaklı villages, especially the Şuhut district center.” said.

Stating that the foundation height of the dam is 43 meters, Akca said, “With the completion of Afyonkarahisar Şuhut Başören Tekke Kavaklı Dam, which has a water storage capacity of 2,1 million cubic meters, it is aimed to contribute 2022 million 3 thousand TL per year to the country's economy with unit prices in 540.' he said.
