Within the scope of Selection and Placement of Candidates for Postgraduate Education Abroad (YLSY), 321 students will receive postgraduate education abroad with the scholarship of the Ministry of National Education.
The number of students who will receive education with the YLSY scholarship of the Ministry of National Education has been determined. In this context, in order to meet Turkey's need for qualified human resources, a total of 171 students, 150 on behalf of higher education institutions and 321 on behalf of other public institutions and organizations, will be sent abroad to receive postgraduate education with official scholarship status. The said students will be appointed to the relevant staff to perform their compulsory services after successfully completing their master's and/or doctoral studies abroad.
Students who will be sent abroad will study abroad on behalf of 47 different universities and 7 different public institutions. Along with universities, students will be sent abroad on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the National Defense University, the Presidency of Defense Industries, the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies, the General Directorate of Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation, the General Directorate of Turkish Petroleum Corporation and the Presidency of the Turkish Space Agency.
Considering all of the countries where students can study with the quotas announced within the scope of 2022 YLSY, students will be able to study in 46 different countries.
While maximum sensitivity is shown to ensure that candidates from different undergraduate fields can apply to the scholarship quotas, 2022 undergraduate programs in OSYM's Undergraduate Programs Table were scanned in the 1.198 YLSY studies, and students who graduated from 340 different undergraduate programs were allowed to apply to the announced scholarship quotas.
Candidates can complete the application process on the REBUS (Official Scholarship Student System) rebus.meb.gov.tr internet address between 01-11 November 2022 with the Turkish identity number, identity serial number and the Turkish identity number of their relative (spouse, child, mother or father). On the other hand, while the students with scholarships were sent abroad by the Ministry of National Education, pursuant to the Law No. 1416, to meet the specialist staff needs of universities and public institutions since 1929, more than 20 thousand students have been entitled to receive scholarships since its inception. Currently, 51 students in 3 different countries benefit from MEB scholarships.
