The Ministry of Interior sent an additional circular regarding the Cinema Halls to 81 Provincial Governorships. This period was extended to 31 March for movie theaters, whose activities were suspended until 1 December with the circular.
In the circular sent to the governorships, it was reminded that new rules and precautions were taken for all areas of life, taking into account the course of the epidemic and possible risks, as well as the basic principles of cleanliness, masks and distance, which are the basic principles of the controlled social life period. It was reminded that within the scope of the measures taken, it was decided to stop the activities of the movie theaters until December 31, in line with the demand of the sector.
In the Circular, at the stage reached, as a result of both the demands of the sector in this direction and the negotiations with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; It was stated that it would be appropriate to suspend the activities of cinema halls until March 1, 2021 in order to ensure the continuation and support of the measures taken in the fight against the epidemic.
In this direction, the decisions of the Provincial / District General Hygiene Boards will be taken urgently in accordance with Articles 27 and 72 of the General Hygiene Law.
Those who do not comply with the decisions taken will be subject to administrative action in accordance with the relevant articles of the General Hygiene Law, and the necessary judicial action will be initiated within the scope of Article 195 of the Turkish Criminal Code.
