The U.S. Navy signed a contract with BAE Systems Land & Armaments for the production of Mk41 Vertical Pulse System (VLS) canisters.


According to information from the US Department of Defense Pentagon, the contract in question; US Navy (68%), Japan (11%), Australia (6%), Norway (6%), the Netherlands (6%) and Turkey (3%) for MK41 includes the production of Vertical Pulse System canister. Under the contract, with a total value of 42 million 842 thousand 169 USD, the works are planned to be completed by July 2023.

This will supply canister of Turkey's ongoing construction activities MİLGEM Stack ( "I") expected to be used in Class Frigates. The STIF Class Frigates, which are currently planned to be manufactured, will have 16 Mk41 VLS. In addition, Turkey Horse National Portrait System (MDAS) also continues to work for.
