Commenting on the protocol ceremony, Hüsnü Serteser, Chairman of ATSO Board of Directors, said, “Today we have come together in a happy signing ceremony. Exactly two months ago, on February 15, 2021, under the presidency of our Governor of Afyonkarahisar Mr. Gökmen Çiçek, our Afyonkarahisar Deputies Att. Ali Özkaya and Att. İbrahim Yurdunuseven, Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Mr. Burhanettin Çoban, ZAFTODER Chairman Ali Gümüşhan and myself, we visited our Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines Mr. İlker Aycı. As you know, the last flight from Zafer Airport was made on March 23, 2020 due to the pandemic and the flights were closed. Although flights across the country resumed in June 2020, flights from our Zafer Airport did not start. We visited İlker Bey for this. Thanks to their suggestions, a certain decision was made. We have been doing our work for two months. We will witness this happiness with our signing ceremony. Hopefully, before the Ramadan Feast, Istanbul flights will be started from Zafer Airport as of May 5, 2021. "The flights will take place 4 days a week," he said.
