Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that with the opening of the 7th section to traffic, a new fast, safe and comfortable transportation corridor will emerge as an alternative to the existing 2nd Ring Road which is exposed to high urban traffic volume, “While the Northern Marmara Highway provides the connection between Istanbul Airport and the city center; It also connects North and South Marmara to Western Anatolia by joining Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Highway and Istanbul-İzmir Highway, which are under construction.
