"Golden Minutes" Are Important

In most heart attack cases, brain death occurs in the first 5-10 minutes because oxygen is not supplied to the brain. For this reason, the first 10 minutes after a heart attack are known as 'golden minutes'. According to researches, the rate of applying first aid such as heart massage and artificial respiration to people who have had a heart attack in our country is only 1,7 percent. In other words, even two out of every 100 people who have a heart attack cannot access first aid. Turkey in emergency ambulances in the city center while the time to reach an average of 8 minutes in the case this time finds the countryside 45 minutes. For this reason, first aid until the ambulance reaches the scene is often life-saving.
