Transportation is a service that we always need in every aspect of our lives. Now, you know, there is a health problem, coronavirus that shook the Earth. The whole world has declared an alert about this and an emergency. As a state, we have the responsibility to take some measures in the field of transportation, both domestic and international, in line with the instructions of our President, the recommendations of the Health Science Board and the decisions of our Ministry of Health. As you know, we have cut our connection with 14 countries in air transportation. Again, we have cut off railway and road transportation especially with our eastern neighbor Iran. We also stopped our Iraq and Sofia rail service. These have a single purpose. To protect our country and our people's health. In line with the decisions of our Health Science Board and the Ministry of Health, the periods are extended or shortened.

Stating that Samsun is a gateway to the world through the ports of Anatolia, Minister Turhan said, “We have visited the construction site of Çarşamba-Ayvacık road in the field of service of our ministry in Samsun. Our work continues here. In highway transportation, we continue our superstructure improvement works on Samsun-Bafra road and our works on Kavak-Asarcık road. Our construction and improvement works on Ladik-Taşova road are still continuing. The railway has reached the final stage in our works on the Samsun-Sivas Railway line, which provides connection of Samsun Port to the Central Anatolia Region. We will open this project to service in the coming days. Samsun-Sivas Kalın Railway line also lacks rebound jobs. I hope we will complete them and put them into service in the next month. ”

We made tenders for the railway line that will be connected to Gelemen Logistics Center. Our work continues here as well. We are planning to tender the Samsun-Çarşamba Airport Terminal building this year. We have important projects about Samsun that we plan to carry out in the field of transportation. Because Samsun is an important center of the region both in industry and agriculture, tourism, trade and logistics. Samsun is a gate that opens to the world through the ports of Anatolia. Therefore, we approached the end of the Ankara-Samsun high speed railway project. I hope that we will complete the project at the end of this year and make the tender after it is completed. This will add another importance to our Samsun. It will further strengthen Samsun's transportation infrastructure. In other words, this high-speed railway will integrate Mersin Port and Samsun Port into each other with the railway system. ”

After that, we will tender the remaining parts and implement them to strengthen the transportation infrastructure of our region.
