New York City train derailed 29 wounded: New York Penn Station, the passenger train to Huntington, near New Hyde Park station near the train coincided with a train.
A major disaster was returned yesterday evening on the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) train line in New York.
The passenger train from New York Penn Station to Huntington collided with the oncoming work train near New Hyde Park station.
With the severity of the collision, some wagons of the passenger train derailed. More than 100 people were injured in the accident.
The 600 passenger train was evacuated from the wagons after the first aid crews arrived.
It was announced that 33 of the injured were taken to hospitals in the region while the others were treated on an outpatient basis. It was stated that four of the injured were in serious condition.
It was stated that 26 of the injured people hospitalized were passengers and the other 7 were train workers.
Governor Cuomo: "It is pleasing that there is no loss of life"
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo arrived at the scene and was informed about the accident. Governor Cuomo, who later held a press conference, said it was gratifying that there was no loss of life in the accident.
Governor Cuomo said, “Immediately after the accident, first aid teams in the region came to the scene instantly. All teams intervened. We are lucky the accident has been overcome cheaply. Our greatest joy is that no loss of life has ever occurred in the incident. An investigation into the accident has been launched. ”
On the train line flights were canceled mutually. The authorities stated that they are continuing their efforts to restore the expeditions to normal.
