The court, which turned the penalty into a judicial fine from 20 lira per day, ordered the defendant to pay 12 thousand 600 TL.

In his defense at the previous hearing, the defendant Süreyya S. said, “Because the escalators and sometimes the elevator of the Hacıosman Metro Station were broken, sick and elderly people had difficulty in getting down to the subway. My leg is also uncomfortable. On the day of the incident, an aunt older than me was going to the hospital, so she had to be taken down the stairs. I helped the aunt. I have submitted written applications to the necessary places several times. As a result, a broken staircase was not built. I was angry, I had such a rebellion, ”he said. Stating that he wrote the article in question by writing the name of the mayor because he thought he was responsible for the subway, the defendant said, "I would not have done it if I had my mind today" and said that he regretted it.

It was stated that the accused did not compensate the damage in question.

In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the suspect Süreyya S. wrote a letter on the wall of the Hacıosman Metro Station in 2015 and insulted Kadir Topbaş with the said letter. In the indictment, which stated that 2 tiles of the subway were changed due to the text that could not be deleted, suspect Süreyya S. was asked to be sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison for "insulting a public official due to his duty" and "Damaging public property".
