The field official of the tunnel construction subcontractor company stated that the tunnel fans and emergency phones will be installed in the tunnel in Sinop, which was built by the same company, and the equipment of the tunnel in Bartın will be installed in a short time. The field official of the tunnel construction subcontractor company stated that the highways were not a heavy traffic area in the region, and they dismantled 50 of the 30 poles. It has been reported that the ventilation system installed in the Amasra Tunnel does not comply with the technical specification, so it will be removed and replaced with a fan in accordance with the technical specification.

"Materials that do not comply with the specification will be dismantled and replaced with materials that comply with the specification"

AK Party Bartın Deputy Yılmaz Tunç made a statement about the removal of some of the ventilation fans, emergency phones and lighting poles on the connection roads at the entrance of the tunnel in the Amasra Tunnel, which was opened 3 months ago with the participation of Transport Minister Lütfi Elvan. Deputy Tunç stated in his statement that the materials removed in the tunnel were removed because they were not in accordance with the tender specifications, and emphasized that the materials that were determined under the supervision of the 15th Regional Directorate of Highways and found to be incompatible with the specification would be replaced as soon as possible. Deputy Tunç stated that, regarding the removal of some of the lighting poles, a new arrangement will be made to provide lighting in accordance with the Highways standards. Stating that the Amasra Tunnel makes the transportation between Bartın and Amasra very comfortable, Tunç said that the 1100-meter-long tunnel with connection roads, viaducts and intersections cost 75 million Turkish lira. Tunç added that there are no problems that would hinder transportation in the Amasra Tunnel, which is a historical investment for Amasra and Bartın.

Citizens reacted to the incident when dismantling the fans and then dismantling the lighting poles.
