Ayşenur Islam, Minister of Family and Social Policies, made a statement to journalists at the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO) after the holiday. Minister Islam said that they started the final work for the site delivery at Karasu Port and continued his speech as follows:
“After the holiday, the contractor firm will make the delivery of the next place and thus the work related to the port will be resumed with great speed. As we follow until we get the job to this point, we will follow it from now on. For the connection of Karasu Port to the railway, we need to build a 62 km railway line. There is a problem there right now. The tender needs to be renewed. It is very important for our industrialists and businessmen to finish this Karasu Port and the railway at the same time. I met this with our Prime Minister last week. They gave instructions to our minister at the Council of Ministers. I will follow the re-tender of the railway to be completed at the same time as Karasu Port. We have everything, our flour, oil, sugar left to make halva. I hope we will cook this halva together. "
