Mexico put out a tender for its first high-speed train line, which is expected to make its first flight in 2017. The 210-kilometer line will connect the capital city of Mexico City to the industrial area of Queretaro. One of the world's leading train manufacturers, Canada-based Bombardier announced its interest in the project. The Mexican company of the German Siemens group also announced that the terms of the tender were examined. The cost of the project is expected to reach 3 billion 300 million dollars. The work is expected to begin this year, and the first flight on the high-speed train line is expected in the second half of 2017.
