British actress Patricia Brake has died at the age of 79, losing her battle with cancer.
The artist's manager, Scott Marshall, also announced the news on his social media account with the following words: “It is with great sadness that we announce that the much-loved theater and television actress Patricia Brake passed away at the age of 79 after a very long battle with cancer.
During his 60-year career, Brake has performed on TV series such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and EastEnders, and on many popular shows.

Patricia Ann Brake (born 25 June 1942 – died 28 May 2022) is an English actress.
Brake played Norman Stanley Fletcher's daughter Ingrid Fletcher in the BBC sitcom Porridge and its sequel, Going Straight. In 2015 she made guest appearances in the BBC's ongoing drama Casualty and in Midsomer Murders for ITV. In addition to his extensive work in West End theatres, he has appeared in the UK TV series EastEnders and Coronation Street, and in numerous sitcoms and one-shots with many British comedians.
After leaving The Bristol Old Vic Theater School, Brake's first acting roles were with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she performed with colleagues including Judi Dench, Diana Rigg, Ian Richardson and Ian Holm. He has appeared in TV series such as Emergency – Ward 10, No Hiding Place and A Sharp Breath with David Jason, and also appeared in the films My Lover, My Son (1970), The Optimists of Nine Elms (1973) and Love. /Harm (2010).
Brake had three children; Hannah, Jon and Angus. He died of cancer on May 28, 2022, at the age of 79.
