Ispartakule - Çerkezköy Bids were collected in the tender for the Railway Line Project Construction Work

Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM), Ispartakule Çerkezköy Bids Have Been Collected in the Tender of the Railway Line Construction Work. Eight companies submitted bids for the tender. Gulermak-YSE joint venture submitted the lowest bid with 8 Euros.

The General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM) will invite the winning company or joint venture for the contract after the bids are evaluated.

Ispartakule-Çerkezköy Railway Line Project

Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM), Halkalıfrom Ispartakule and from Ispartakule ÇerkezköyIt plans to build a new high-speed rail line in two different tenders and sections to 'e (Project). The project will be located in the Istanbul region and Tekirdag province. When the project is completed and operational, it will be operated by TCDD and TCDD transportation.

Available with this Project Halkalı The station is under construction to create a single integrated rail system with full interoperability. Çerkezköy- It will be connected to the Kapikule railway. Halkalı- There is an approved Final EIA Report prepared for the Kapikule Railway Line in accordance with the local legislation.

Project Goals

The main objective for the project is to increase the freight and passenger rail capacity in the strategically critical region of Thrace. The region is critically important as the Euro-Asia meeting point of the European rail network.

The project is a response to key transport policies and strategic infrastructure initiatives aimed at addressing the capacity constraint:

• The aim of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) policy is to close gaps, eliminate bottlenecks and technical barriers, as well as strengthen social, economic and regional cohesion in the EU.
• The Project is a sub-component of the TRACECA Project (Europe-Caucasus-Asia Transport Corridor), which aims to strengthen economic relations, trade and transport in the Black Sea basin, South Caucasus and Central Asian regions; and
• The Project is one of the main Major Infrastructure Projects defined in Turkey's Transport Sector Operational Program (SOPT) (2014-2020).

Objectives of the Project

The project objectives are as follows:

• Contributing to the achievement of a sustainable, safe, inclusive and efficient national transport system that results in the transition from individual modes of transport to public transport at the national level, further integrating Turkey into the Single European Transport Area;
• Resolving the capacity constraints of the railway connection from Europe to Eastern Anatolia; and
• Promote the shift from road to rail transport by removing rail capacity restrictions.

Components of the Project

Project, Ispartakule-Çerkezköy It will provide a new 67 km high-speed electrified rail link. The project is located within the borders of the province of Istanbul, within the borders of the province of Tekirdag in the northwest of Turkey. Both passenger and freight trains will run on the new railway.

The project will consist of:

• from Ispartakule Çerkezköy A location adjacent to the east of the Station (Çerkezköy about 1 km from the center) new double track 67 km line;
• Replacement of existing infrastructure at 2 existing stations (including provision of footbridges, platforms and additional tracks;
• New structures such as bridges, viaducts, tunnels, overpasses and underpasses;
• Supporting power supply systems, including overhead lines and substations; and
• To support electrification, signaling and control systems.
