Children of the Capital Restarted Traffic Controls

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which provides free education about traffic rules to children in the capital city, resumed practical traffic inspections, which it took a break due to the pandemic period. Members of the 26th Term Children's Assembly of the Metropolitan Municipality and the traffic police conducted a traffic inspection at the Red Crescent National Will Square on July 15.

REMEMBER THE TRAFFIC RULES FOR EVERYONE FROM 7 TO 70

While the traffic inspections, implemented with the decision of the Children's Assembly, were carried out in cooperation with the Ankara Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate, children from Başkent, working as 'Traffic Detectives', carried out pedestrian and vehicle traffic inspections around Kızılay Güvenpark.

In order to draw attention to the traffic rules and to raise awareness with the traffic rules, the children, who were separated into 3 separate groups, reminded everyone of the traffic rules, from 7 to 70.

The little ones, who stopped the vehicles and asked the drivers about the traffic signs, thanked those who answered correctly and those who wore seat belts.

Children, who frequently warned pedestrians and vehicles to obey the traffic signs and lights with a megaphone, also gave information about the basic traffic rules for the correct and fast flow of pedestrian traffic.

CALL TO FOLLOW TRAFFIC RULES, FROM MINORS TO GREATS IN CAPITAL

The little traffic detectives, who especially called for adults to obey the traffic rules, expressed their thoughts with the following words:

Selin Konukcu: “My environment obeys the traffic rules, but some people and pedestrians do not obey the rules and because of this, accidents occur. If we obey the traffic rules, we will prevent the loss of life and property.”

Zeynep Onur: “Traffic rules are the most important part of life, if we do not follow the rules, the loss of life and property will increase. Pedestrians do not stop at the red light, they try to cross, which is very dangerous for them.

Elif Nisa Ergoz: “If we do not comply with the traffic rules, the loss of life will increase, so it is very important to comply with the traffic rules. My family and my environment obey the traffic rules, but unfortunately, some of the pedestrians do not follow the rules, they try to cross the street while the red light is on. Let's follow the traffic rules so that there is no loss of life and property.
