My dear workfriends,
2017 year was a beautiful year to shed light on the future of our nation, to carry our country to the future and to realize the realization of great projects.
Studies of Kanal Istanbul, one of the largest projects in the world, started. Progress in the construction of Istanbul New Airport reached 75 percent. Drilling operations have been completed in Ovit Tunnel, which is the first longest tunnel in Europe and the second longest tunnel in the world, and controlled transitions from a single tube have started. Deep drilling works of the 3-storey Grand Istanbul Tunnel are continuing. The foundation of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which is one of our projects that transcend the continents, was laid. The foundation of Rize Artvin Airport, which will be the second airport of our country on the sea, was laid. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project, one of the most important projects that will make our country a trade center in the world, has been served. The foundation of Kars Logistics Center, which is an important complement to this giant project, was laid. Drilling operations have been completed in Sabuncubeli Tunnel and the foundation of the New Zigana Tunnel has been laid. The e-government portal celebrated its tenth anniversary this year. Local Base station ULAK was developed. The tender of Türksat 5A and 5B was held, the construction process began.
I believe that all these achievements are realized by taking power from the spirit of unity and solidarity and always working with the excitement and dedication of the first day. As in the 2017, 2018 will be a busy year for us to complete existing projects and implement new projects. As in previous years, by always increasing our service quality; Turkey's development, community development and our republic 100. We will continue to show every effort and determination necessary to achieve our goals for the year.
On this occasion, I would like to congratulate my colleagues for their uninterrupted communication to build the transportation channels of this country on daytime and daytime. I hope that 2018 will be a year in which the hopes of our saints have grown, hopes that peace is dominant all over the world, and friendship, brotherhood and solidarity gain strength.
