Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candidate Kahraman: "We will work with determination for Bursa"

Bursa was mismanaged and its resources were wasted. The municipality's coffers were emptied. Despite these short-sighted administrators, Bursa has become a city that tries to cope with its own problems in every field with its own dynamics. "Bursa, with its strong civil society and culture of solidarity, is still standing despite Mr. Aktaş," he said.

Kahraman said, “We have not seen, we do not see, any effort that will take the people of Bursa and the city of Bursa one step further, and we have no faith in this direction anymore! Just by using resources efficiently and bringing the city's values ​​to light, Bursa will be transformed into a modern, pleasant to live in, problems solved, people happy, streets safe, and an exemplary world city. Although Bursa is a rapidly developing city with its historical and cultural riches, it faces various problems. Evaluating Bursa's problems under five main headings: mismanagement, rent and irregularities, transportation and traffic problems, urbanization and infrastructure problems, public losses resulting from not carrying out necessary feasibility studies when planning public investments, and low quality of life, Deva Party Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Atty. Zeki Kahraman stated that they aim to increase the prosperity of Bursa and make the city more livable with the projects they will carry out, and as Deva Party, they will continue to work determinedly to maximize the potential of Bursa.

Kahraman listed his solution suggestions as follows in his statement:

1. Mismanagement, Profit and Irregularities

Within the framework of the DEVA Municipality Ethical Rules Declaration, we will be based on the honest, transparent and accountable municipality approach.

We will initiate the necessary administrative investigations into past irregularities.

We will use municipal resources within the framework of effectiveness, efficiency and economy principles.

We will inform our people regularly through open sources within the scope of municipal legislation.

We will never allow ranta and nepotism.

We will ensure that our people benefit from public services fairly and equally.

We will redesign the organizational structure of the municipality according to the needs of the city and the expectations of the people.

We will ensure that NGOs, headmen, city council and professional chambers take an active role in city management.

We will investigate the source of public harm and huge debt created as a result of bad management and short-sighted practices and present it to our people.

We will examine the Court of Accounts reports and the institutional memory of the municipality and reveal the corruption committed.

2. Transportation and Traffic Problems

We will prepare the Green Bursa transportation and mobility master plan.

We will build bicycle paths in places with heavy traffic in the city. (planned and safe bicycle parking areas, making the bicycle an economical and practical means of transportation rather than a hobby vehicle, integrating bicycle paths with the public transportation system and making them compatible with the 'Park Your Bicycle, Ride System')

We will carry out and implement the necessary feasibility studies in cooperation with our corporate stakeholders for new road routes to our city, which does not have an alternative road.

We will establish an integrated transportation network that encourages public transportation.

We will increase Bursaray's line length and add new stations.

We will plan alternative routes especially for the heavy traffic problem experienced on the city square-Merinos-Sırameşeler-Acemler route.

We will open streets closed to traffic where life flows by focusing on pedestrianization works and people-oriented zoning practices.

We will establish and develop smart traffic management systems.

3. Urbanization and Infrastructure Problems

We will prepare the Green Bursa urban renewal master plan again.

Within the framework of the urban renewal master plan, we will identify the city's risky building stock and carry out the necessary urban renewal works with the participation of our corporate stakeholders.

We will revise the city zoning regulations with the theme of "Green Bursa Again".

We will pioneer the housing transformation of low-income families with new financing models. (Determining housing incentives for low-income people with the participation of local resources, corporate stakeholders and the public, and offering them to the public under favorable conditions)

We will switch to social housing rental with affordable conditions.

In addition to housing renovation, we will carry out awareness-raising activities about disasters and emergencies.

We will unhesitatingly preserve this heritage of our city, which has hosted civilization uninterruptedly with its ancient history, and carry out the necessary restoration work.

We will renew the water and sewage infrastructure and regularly maintain and clean pipelines and manholes.

We will develop the 15-minute city/self-sufficient district model with special supports.

We will actively fight against illegal and distorted construction.

We will demolish old abandoned buildings and provide new social facilities.

4. Public Losses Resulting from Not Conducting Necessary Feasibility Studies While Planning Public Investments

We will eliminate the city congestion and traffic problem caused by the stadium and hospital built in the middle of the city with expropriation and underpasses.

We will solve the transportation problem caused by the city hospital being built far outside the city by increasing the number of free shuttles and public transportation trips.

We will take initiatives to build new connection roads in cooperation with our corporate stakeholders.

5. Low Quality of Life

We will put an end to unplanned construction with the Green Bursa approach again.

We will control irregular migration and ensure the organic and controlled growth of the city.

We will double the amount of green space per person.

We will open social facilities in every neighborhood to meet the neighborhood's need for recreation and quality time.

With the understanding of "equal service everywhere", we will minimize the difference in the quality of life between our districts and provide easy and on-site service access.

We will close the development gap by providing positive discrimination in municipal services to some of our underdeveloped districts.
