Turkish Airlines, the airline with the most destinations in the world, successfully completed an important financing transaction with Bank of China. Coordinated by Bank of China Turkey Inc., the transaction involved a loan of 2.9 billion Chinese Yuan (approximately 412 million USD) with a 5-year maturity, which will support strategic development areas such as the airline’s fleet expansion efforts, growth plans, new facility investments, and infrastructure projects at Istanbul Airport.
The successfully executed financing transaction marks a new milestone in Turkish Airlines’ strategic steps to diversify its sources of funding and also reinforces its commitment to a sustainable and globally inclusive growth vision. Under the coordination of Bank of China Turkey Inc. and with credit provision by the Bank of China Macau branch, this financing strengthens financial cooperation between Turkey and China and aligns with the long-term strategic objectives of both countries.
