IMM Social Services Department increased the financial support it provides to newly married couples, taking into account reasons such as inflation and increasing poverty as a result of the economic crisis. "Marriage Support", which was 7 thousand TL, was increased to 15 thousand TL. With the "Marriage Support" that has been implemented since April 14, 2023, 8 thousand 682 couples have been reached to date.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION CONDITIONS?
The conditions required for "Marriage Support" are as follows:
Be a Turkish citizen and reside in Istanbul. Each couple must be over 18 years of age. Their marital status is other than "married". They must not apply for more than one marriage benefit. The marriage date must be at most 90 days after the application date.
HOW IS THE SUPPORT PROCESS?
Applications are evaluated taking into account the income status of the applicants. Regardless of whether the applicant is a man or a woman, cash support is given to the person who is a woman. It is sufficient for only one of the spouse candidates to reside in Istanbul at the time of application. A person living in Istanbul can apply. The social support needs of the applicants are met through document control. Cash Support is deposited into the woman's bank account after the marriage is officially concluded. After the marriage takes place, both people are required to reside in Istanbul.
