THY Teknik Started Passenger-Cargo Aircraft Conversions!

Turkish Airlines Teknik A.Ş. started passenger-cargo aircraft conversions with Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), one of the important companies in the sector, within the scope of passenger-cargo conversion operations (P330F) of Airbus A2 aircraft.

Turkish Airlines Teknik A.Ş., one of the largest companies in the aircraft maintenance and repair sector, started passenger-cargo aircraft conversions with Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), one of the important companies in the sector, within the scope of passenger-cargo conversion operations (P330F) of Airbus A2 aircraft. Collaborating with EFW within the scope of the A330P2F Program, Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. recently carried out the upper fuselage shell (UFS) cutting process of the first conversion aircraft and ensured the successful installation of the new UFS. It was stated that this process is an important milestone for the installation of the main deck cargo door. This cargo conversion, the first of a series of A330 P2F conversion projects, is planned to be completed in mid-2024.

Making an evaluation about reaching an important point in the passenger-cargo aircraft project, Turkish Airlines Teknik A.Ş. General Manager Mikail Akbulut said, “With the strong and steady growth of the air cargo sector in recent years, we have taken an important step to meet the high passenger-cargo aircraft conversion demand in the market.
