Tramway and Sea Transportation Raised in Kocaeli!

The first meeting of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) for 2023 was held today. At the UKOME meeting held at Kocaeli Congress Center, public transportation, taxi, school buses, tow truck and rescue and parking fees were discussed. The demand for a raise came to the agenda last December and the relevant articles were sent to the commission. Kocaeli Chamber of Minibuses and Coaches had a demand for a 50 percent increase in transportation. At the meeting held under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Balamir Gündoğdu, 32 agenda items were discussed.

23 TIME PERCENT

At the meeting; The city transportation fee, which was 6,5 TL, was increased by 23 percent to 8 TL. Discounted tariffs such as students and teachers were determined as 'discounted' under a single tariff. The discounted tariff, which was applied as 4,5 TL, was increased to 22 TL by applying a 5.5 percent increase. Metropolitan support in the discounted tariff was determined as 1,25 TL.

30 PERCENT TO TRAM, 23 PERCENT TO SEA TRANSPORT

The tram fares were increased by 30 percent, and the full boarding increased from 5 liras to 6,5 liras. Discounted boarding, on the other hand, increased from 12 liras to 3 cents to 80 liras to 4 cents with a 25 percent increase.

On the other hand, with a 23 percent increase in sea transportation, full boarding has been increased from 7 liras to 75 liras to 9 cents, and discounted boarding has been increased from 50 liras to 9 liras to 5 cents with a 75 percent increase.

SUBSCRIPTION APPLICATION IN MARCH

It has been announced that the subscription application, which will be implemented for the first time in Kocaeli for discounted tariffs, will be started as of March 1st.
