Parents in Turkey feel the need to check their children an average of 6,6 times a day. When we look at only mothers, this figure rises to 7. The world average is 4,8.

Parents who try to keep their children away from risks can sometimes be too controlling, which can lead to conflicts of freedom and control between the child and the parents, especially during adolescence. Children forgotten in school buses, disappearances in streets and parks, domestic accidents, peer bullying and many other disturbing events naturally frighten parents. The desire of parents to protect their children from risks sometimes leads to undesirable consequences.

Used to express overly controlling parents, 'helicopter parenting' is a concept that restricts the freedom of both parents and children. Here again, technology helps to solve this problem. With the Find My Kids application, parents can see where their children are on the map and in real time, and can overcome this problem by tracking how they spend their days. Every month, 3,5 million parents in the world and 50 thousand parents in Turkey use the application.

Stating that the use of child tracking applications in the world is increasing rapidly, Find My Kids Country Manager Neşen Yücel said, “According to a study conducted in the United Kingdom, 40 percent of families follow their children with location-based applications. Find My Kids is used by 3,5 million parents worldwide on a monthly basis. This figure is close to 50 thousand in Turkey. When we look at user behaviors, parents in Turkey feel the need to check their children an average of 6,6 times a day. When we look at only mothers, this figure rises to 7. The world average is 4,8. Technology creates solutions to people's problems. It also makes a significant improvement in family relations,'' he said.
